…stay tuned for the ongoing release of:

pieces of eight

by Rebeka Lyn @ the Noise Factory…from my Soul 2 Yours.

…to be released in pieces.

“Spare Change”…Pieces of Eight:

…an experiment in Rhythms, Blues, Jazz, & Gypsy Fusion [with hints thrown in of classical African]; because diversity is the spice, and the synergistic magic of the right kind of variety combined in the right way & at the right time is what brings Life back to Life itself.

“In a Mood”…Pieces of Eight:

becuz i was in a mood that can really only & most simply be described in relation to color & hue, like i was—one stinkin’ day—i was in this place where i was kind of feelin’ dark & blue. and so i closed the window on the devil’s right hand by writing this song about my indigo mood & turning it in turn into something bright like violet light.

“Dracula’s Waltz”…Pieces of Eight:

…because the vast ocean of the human emotional experience involves more than just fast romance & then the inevitable breakup. music exists to express the inexpressible; it is the breath of the Soul itself & as such it must reflect & connect with the myriad of emotional experience.

“Maybe God Should Work a 9-to-5”…from the album entitled ‘Pieces of Eight’:

…maybe God should work a 9—to—5; you know, and get to know the ways of His system from the insde…

…becuz the 7—day grind has got me in a goddamn bind & man, in my mind, again i’m going deep indigo.
